Tagger Cat is a Visual Model Driven JSP Application Framework for rapidly building database backed applications.
Tagger Cat is an action based framework that leverages Hibernate™ and includes design tools integrated with Dreamweaver™.
Motivation
We wanted a highly productive JSP based framework that both Page Designers and Java Developers would be happy with. Secondly, we wanted more of a fully integrated application development stack.
In contrast, we find most other JSP frameworks are overly complex, and require far too much Java code. Typically, other JSP frameworks very tightly couple JSP page development with their required backing Java classes. Therefore, JSP page designers need to have an intimate knowledge of the corresponding Java source code.
Additionally, JSP pages cannot usually be built in Dreamweaver's visual design view. The net result of these other frameworks is that web page development can only be accomplished by highly skilled Java developers, and just takes far too long.

Tagger Cat supports advanced templating with Model Driven Regions™. The Model is the combination of the Extended Hibernate™ metadata and the Region's template definition.
Firstly, a typical Tagger Cat JSP page requires zero lines of supporting Java code.
Secondly, Tagger Cat makes JSP development very easy. By using the Dreamweaver™ Tagger, the presentation tier of a web application can easily be built by web page designers; and not hard-core Java developers.
Thirdly, Tagger Cat is very configuration light; where the Page Designer has the power to easily control all action responses.
